The Hamlet of Burgis Beach is a community of 245 cottages stretched along 1 ½ miles of the East shore of Good Spirit Lake. Approximatly 70 % of this shore line is beautiful white sand beaches with shallow water making it perfect for family swimming.

There are good stocks of Walleye and Pike for the recreational angler and the warm water in summer makes Good Spirit Lake a great place for water skiing or tubing. The sand dunes at the south end of the lake are very popular with pleasure boaters, skiers and tube enthusiasts. The soft sand beaches were rated in the top 10 beaches in Canada by McLeans Magazine article of 2004.

There is a seasonal confectionery store in the Hamlet and a Community Hall that may be rented for private functions.

There are 12 electrified campsites to accommodate tents, campers or R.V.s.

For more active recreation there are two Ball Diamonds and a horse shoe pitch .There is also a play ground for children.

In winter, ice fishing, snowmobiling, outdoor skating, X country skiing and snow shoeing are popular recreation.

The undeveloped cottage lots and other properties are owned by the Burgis Beach Co-Operative.

Local government is an elected 3 person Hamlet Board.
